Tuning
Tuning tests a Word template on a past case before you rely on it. Templi writes a test report from a real client's files, you say what is wrong with it, and Templi fixes the template. You repeat until a test needs no changes, then publish.
Pick a client with a complete fact find, ideally one where you already sent the report yourself, so you can compare the two. Nothing from a test is sent to your CRM.
Where to find it
Go to Customise > Templates and open a template, then click Test this template. You can also choose Test this template from the menu on the template's row. Tuning runs in the chat beside the template, at https://app.templi.ai/templates/<template>/tuning, and each test report opens at https://app.templi.ai/templates/<template>/tuning/<test>.
A tagged template that has never been tested opens straight into tuning.
Start a test
Under Client, search for and choose the client.
Under Files for this test, tick the fact find, valuations or meeting notes Templi should work from. Drop more files to add them.
Click Start test 1.
A test usually takes 5 to 10 minutes. The report opens in its own tab beside the template tab, so you can switch between them. Click Stop to stop a test while it writes.
If Templi has a question before it can write the report, the card shows Needs you. Click Answer the question or type your answer, and Templi carries on. It only asks when the files do not settle something.
Check the test report
When the card says Check it, read the report on the right as if it were going to the client.
Click any section that is wrong and type what is wrong in Say what's wrongβ¦. Red sections are ones Templi had nothing to write for.
Your notes collect in the chat's message box. Add anything else, then send them.
Templi works out why each note went wrong and updates the template. You can watch it change on the template tab.
When the card says Template updated, click Run test 2 to check the changes against the same client and files.
Keep the same client and files for every test, so the results stay comparable. To change them, open the card's menu and choose Change client or files. Earlier tests keep the details they were written from.
Finish and publish
When a test report needs no changes, click Finish and publish. Templi publishes the template, so your team can generate from it for every client. Notes you have queued but not sent are dropped.
If the report still has unanswered or missing sections, placeholder text or writer notes, Templi lists them under Publish the template?. Click Check those sections to go back to them, or Publish anyway.
When tuning is done, the card lists each test and offers Generate a document and Run another test.
End tuning
To stop without publishing, open the card's menu and choose End tuning, then confirm with End tuning. Any test Templi is writing stops, the changes made so far stay in the template, and you can publish it yourself. Running another test picks tuning up again.
Untested templates
On the Templates tab, the line under each template's name shows Not tested yet or how many past cases it has been tested on. A template in the middle of tuning shows a Tuning status.
When you generate from a template that has never been tested, Templi suggests a test first. Click Test on a past case to start tuning, or Generate anyway. Tick Don't show again to stop the suggestion.
Ask Templi
During tuning you can also type in the chat beside the test. Templi changes the template from what you write. For example:
"The pension switch summary should mention Sarah Winters' Harbour Life exit fee before the recommendation."
"Leave out the protection section when the client is not taking new cover."
"The ISA allowance table should only show the current tax year."
